Stainless steel elbows need to pay attention to the following matters when welding:

1, in order to prevent the occurrence of eye erosion due to heating, welding current should not be too large, less than 20% of carbon steel electrodes, arc should not be too long, fast cooling between layers, with a narrow bead is appropriate.

2, stainless steel elbow hardened after welding, to facilitate the occurrence of cracks. If a typical stainless steel elbow is accepted for welding, preheating at 300°C or more and slow cooling at 700°C after welding must be performed. If the weldment can not be post-weld heat treatment, stainless steel elbow electrode should be used.

3, stainless steel elbow, in order to improve the corrosion resistance and weldability and appropriate increase in the amount of invariable elements Ti, Nb, Mo, etc., welding better than stainless steel elbow. When accepting the same chrome stainless steel electrode, preheating above 200°C and tempering at 800°C after welding should be performed. If the weldment cannot be heat treated, a chromium-nickel stainless steel electrode should be used.

4, stainless steel elbow electrode with sophisticated corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, commonly used in chemical, fertilizer, petroleum, medical machinery manufacturing.

5, stainless steel elbow skin titanium calcium type and low hydrogen type. Titanium-calcium type can be used for AC and DC, but the depth of penetration during AC welding is shallow, and it is convenient for redness. Therefore, the DC power supply is generally accepted.

6, stainless steel elbow with a certain degree of corrosion resistance (oxidizing acid, organic acids, cavitation), heat and wear resistance. All equipment used for power station, chemical industry, petroleum, etc. Stainless steel elbows have poor weldability, and care should be taken to select suitable welding electrodes before welding processes and heat treatment.

7. When the electrode is operated, it should be connected and dry. The titanium-calcium type should be dried at 150°C for 1 hour. The low-hydrogen type should be dried at 200-250°C for 1 hour (can not be repeatedly dried, otherwise the coating skin can be easily cracked and peeled off). The skin of the skin is covered with oil and other dirt so as not to increase the carbon content of the weld and affect the quality of the weldment.

8, When the stainless steel elbow is welded, carbides are repeatedly precipitated to reduce corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.
