180 degree stainless steel elbow welding and processing

The 180 degree stainless steel elbow is usually required to be welded during installation. Due to the special nature of the material, the 180 degree stainless steel elbow is different from the ordinary pipe in welding. What about the welding and handling process for 180-degree stainless steel elbows?

Since the 180 degree stainless steel elbows are of different sizes, according to the unique welding place of the 180 degree stainless steel elbow, the heat input is reduced as much as possible. The full-scale argon arc welding of d≦Φ159 mm and the 180 degree stainless steel elbow welding technology requirements are as follows:

1. When using manual arc welding, the welding machine adopts DC reverse connection, and when using argon arc welding, DC positive connection is adopted.

2. Before welding, the wire should be brushed off the surface oxide with a stainless steel wire brush, and washed with acetone. The electrode should be dried at 200-250°C for 1 hour. Take it with you.

3. Clean the oil stains within 25 mm on both sides of the workpiece groove before welding and clean the 25 mm area on both sides of the groove with acetone.

4. In argon arc welding, the nozzle diameter is Φ2 mm, and tungsten is extremely tungsten-titanium, and the specification is Φ2.5 mm.

5, argon arc welding stainless steel, the back must be filled with argon protection in order to ensure the back of the formation. The method of local argon filling in the pipeline is used, the flow rate is 5-14L/min, and the front argon flow rate is 12-13L/min.

The thickness of the weld bead should be as thin as possible when welding at the end of the weld, and it should be fused well with the root. When the arc is closed, it should be a gentle slope. If there is an arc shrinkage hole, use a grinding machine to remove it. The arc must be extinguished in the groove, and the arc pit should be filled when the arc extinguishes to prevent cracks in the arc pit.

Since the 180 degree stainless steel elbow is an austenitic stainless steel tube, in order to prevent sensitization of carbide precipitation and intergranular corrosion, the interlayer temperature and post-weld cooling rate should be strictly controlled, and the temperature between layers should be controlled below 60°C during welding. After welding must be immediately water-cooled, while the use of sub-welding. This symmetrically dispersed welding sequence increases the cooling rate of the joint and reduces the welding stress.
